September is here, along with it, spring. Also along with it, some high-quality TV and movies have just been added to Stan.
The spin-off series from 'Power' is here and new episodes of Power Book II: Ghost will be coming to Stan every week from now on.
There are also new seasons of the comedy series A.P. Bio and trashy reality entertainment in the new 20th (!) season of Geordie Shore.
But for those needing a bit of classic television, look no further than one of the greatest sitcoms in history, the complete series of Cheers.
Lots of different movies, but all good in their own way. For something serious and topical, the historical drama Selma is well worth a watch. Breathe is also a quite serious attempt at a tear-jerker, starring The Crown's Claire Foy and Spider-man Andrew Garfield. Brothers is another serious one, with an all-star cast in the form of another Spider-man Tobey Maguire (maybe this is a sign there are too many Spider-man reboots), with Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman.
Slightly older is Be Kind Rewind, the movie that started a phenomenon back when it was released. Even older is Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, the perfect watch in anticipation of the new movie.
And for something that you can enjoy with the kids (or even by yourself, it's that good), try Paddington and don't be put off by the slightly creepy looking CGI bear.
Spielberg's The Terminal wasn't his best work, but there is something enjoyable about the movie especially during the pandemic where being stuck at an airport doesn't seem like such a bad thing these days.
Silly fun can be had in Daddy's Home, and straddling the line between silly and satire, Tropic Thunder is a lot of fun.
From France, The Extraordinary (also known as 'The Specials') tells the story of two men, educators of children and adolescents with autism.
Nature doc fans should check out Natural World: Hippos - Africa's River Giants.
