A sea of familiarity surrounds the TV Time Binge Report Top 10 for the week of August 23 - August 29, 2021.
TV Time calculates a binge session as when a viewer watches four or more episodes of the same show within a given day, as tracked by the TV Time (iPhone and Android) App. With most of TV Time's users being global, the binge data used in this report is reflective of a worldwide audience, and some shows listed are not available in Australia without the use of a suitable VPN.
If you had to sum up the theme of this week's top 10, it would be "familiar favourites". While nominally there were three new entries in the top 10, they were also frequent visitors to the Binge Report Top 10, in the form of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine", "Naruto Shippuden" and "My Hero Academia".
Shows like "Modern Family", "Grey's Anatomy", "The Office" and "Friends" were there as expected, and Binge Report favourites like "One Piece", "The Good Doctor" were also there.
Interestingly, the three shows that left the top 10 were all the other types of shows in the top 10 - the ones that only pop in when there's a new season - Grace and Frankie, Modern Love and Valeria, all left after coming in last week.
