More must-see classic Warner Bros. movies, and a few kids movies and TVs full of nostalgia - that's what has been happening on Stan this past week.

Television:

A great little comedy from a couple of years back, starring two heavy hitters in Jon Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe, A Young Doctor's Notebook tells the story of a young medical graduate and the early days of his career in a remote Russian village. The Spanish/Italian co-production Love, Inevitably is also new to Stan, with the complete first season now available for streaming.

There is also a new season Dead Pixels, as well as the Canada's Drag Race - Special: Anniversary Extravaganza.

Movies, Documentaries:

More of Warner Bros' excellent catalogue continues to get added to Stan, this week being the Oscar-winning The Departed by Martin Scorsese.

The LOTR trilogy is here as well, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and the Extended cut of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

And to commemorate September 11, Oliver Stone's World Trade Center was just added. Now, when people first heard that Oliver Stone was going to be making a 9/11 film, given his past expertise, people were naturally worried about a conspiracy theory filled, politically charged movie. In the end, it turned out to be a very sensitive tribute to all the heroes on that day.

Documentary fans should check out The Mystery of D.B. Cooper (my money is on him being dead in a desert somewhere) and The Dissident, about the brutal murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi by the Saudi regime.

Kids:

More from WB, this time for the kids, are the 1990 movie adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl story, The Witches, as well as the 1993 version of The Secret Garden - both movies that I enjoyed from my childhood (The Witches, more so than The Secret Garden, to be fair). Another one from my childhood is the Australian series The Girl From Tomorrow, based on the book that we were made to read in school (which, unlike most books we were made to read, I actually enjoyed).
